Táxon Birding is committed with the environment and sustainable development. Our tour motto is “only take away good memories (and photographs, of course!)”. Our principle is to keep the landscapes and environments we visit unaltered, so we never travel with large or loud groups that would disturb the environment, and during our tours nothing can be left behind or taken from the places we visit.
We choose to visit public and private areas that are also committed to these conservation ideas. Each time you travel with us, part of the payment you invest helps maintain conservation projects such as the Lear's Macaw Conservation Program, The Araripe Manakin Project and Serra do Urubu.
Beyond that, Táxon Birding helps promote the bird watching hobby and spread the idea of the importance of conservation efforts to beginners and general public, free of charge, through our partnership with the Benjamim Maranhão Botanical Garden in João Pessoa, Paraíba. Táxon Birding also supports scientific projects and events through donations or by providing data obtained during the tours.
